Are these even possible, I wonder? http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/entertainment/new_features/galleries/world_trade/front.htm New Yorkers continue to argue about reconstruction at the site of the World Trade Center. Not surprisingly, there is little consensus for the site's redesign among the 60 artists and architects commissioned by New York gallery owner Max Protetch. Certainly, so suddenly after the tragedies of Sept. 11 -- these designs were commissioned in October 2001 -- many are still digesting the events and their implications.
The only one I found interesting was having the reflection of the twin towers exist on water, but not on land. I'm not sure how that could be achieved tho.
what was that? a 6th grade school project? I think they should make a green space, memorial on the site...
How much does land go for in downtown Manhatten? My guess would be somewhere between a helluva lot and whole f***ing bunch.
Most of the proposals aren't meant to be built. They are only meant to exist as artwork at this exhibition. They mention that the Samuel Mockbee proposal that includes two towers with a 911 foot deep well is one of the only ones meant to be realistic.
