    According to ESPN :

The Rockets were assured the No. 1 choice by virtue of having been assigned the first combination selected -- 13-8-11-4. For the No. 2 pick, a combination assigned to the Rockets (8-6-5-9) came up again, so that was thrown out, and new numbers chosen.

Are the Rockets this lucky? Since this is obviously the start of a paranormal experience, and my series is now over, I had to chime in on this one.

I thought that after the Rocks (or whomever) won the first pick, their balls were removed, so they could not be chosen again. By doing this, the odds change for the remaining two lotto picks. In particular, isn't this how the lotto simulations were built to work?

    Just Curious.

There are only 14 balls in the "hopper" from which 4 are drawn at a time to select a combination, so no balls get taken out. Each ball doesn't represent a combination, which is what I think you're thinking.

Great show last night. I had a feeling we hadn't seen the last of the smoking man, especially when his son stated that he believed his father was dead.
