An old band that I've recently re-discovered:

    The Scorpions

    Lovedrive
    Animal Magnetism
    Blackout
    Love At First Sting

That has to be one of the best 4-in-a-row hard rock CDs ever. No deep meanings, no 10-minute opus songs, no catering-to-the-trend music, no political correctness- every song on all 4 of these CDs is one of 3 themes: sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Classic.
