    U want to know if your team is a contender? When guys get waived or cut, how many have your team signed when its clear you need them. This was a great move by Sa and like someone said earlier, Gooden can play. He's not the smartest defensive player, but neither is scolandry. He'll help a lot especially against a team like La.

    He's a lot better than Brian Cook, we should have gotten him. Never understood why he hasn't stuck with a team because he's pretty good.

    Good pickup for the Spurs. Frontcourt depth is always nice, even in a world sans Bynum and Amare. Gooden was the best available free-agent player at the time, so the playoff eligibility deadline winners were clearly the Spurs unless KG flips one HELL of a switch in Marbury.
