    you know for some reason what shocked me more that it was a girl who did this. i am not saying girls aren't stupid or anything but usually things like this its always a guy doing them. i would think a girl would have more sense about what to do with her hair.

    People should try using Google before they try stupid crap. I googled "gasoline" and "lice" and found this story which is more tragic. A mother tried to do the same treatment to her 13 year old son because they didn't want to have to cut his dreads off. He was burned over 23% of his body and his right hand was so bad that they had to amputate all of his fingers.

    This is true. However, with burns on >50% of her body she has dramatically reduced her chances of reproducing.
