I seriously doubt that choice was a dig at McGrady.

I always though Mac and Skip were good friends? Mac stood up for Skip numerous times last year. if anything, its a tribute to their friendship.

Haha Rockets have no reason to retire his number. As much as T-Mac's name carries star status, his number will get retired no where, expect maybe at his HS.

Yeah the best part is Lowry was #1 in Memphis.

Also, yeah T-Mac always liked Alston as far as what we heard in his interviews. He said Rafer was one of the main leaders of the team being the PG.

I don't know where all this recent talk of turmoil is coming from.

if Miami can retire Michael Jordan and Dan Marino, and Wade's Olympic jersey, then Orlando can def retire anyone they want, lol

Wow this T-Mac hate has taken off to another level.....this is amazing, I never thought this would happen on this board.

I never liked Alston, but this move by him is great. Classy.

Funny thing is in Morey's press conference the other day one of the reporters asked if Lowry would be wearing #1 here, lol.

Morey replied that that was a disrespectful question and the number 1 jersey is taken.
