    Indiana @ Cleveland

A Cleveland wins not only guarantees that the Rox will tie for the 5th worst record, but it would also ensure Toronto a playoff spot. I believe Toronto holds the tiebreaker over Indiana if they end up tied virtue of their head to head record!!!!!

True. Also, Minnesota needs to win tonite to clinch the 5 seed in the West. So when they host Denver Wednesday, they have nothing to play for. So if Denver beats the Rockets tommorrow, wins the next night in Minnesota, and we lose at Portland, we tie Denver for the 4th worst record.

Finally, if Cleveland wins tommorrow, with Toronto already clinched, we should root for Cleveland to beat Toronto the next night, to help us secure a 14 pick instead of 15 (if Milwaukee wins its last two games).

    Go Cleveland!

But by Minnesota winning that takes away motivation from Portland to win their last game with us (they might be able to catch the Wolves and possibly avoid the Lakers). Us losing to Portland is more important than Denver beating Minnesota. It would be great if both mattered, but more than likely the Portland-Hou game will have more impact on our situaiton.

If Cleveland wins tonight, I think we want Toronto to lose to Milwalkee about 1 hour later. Then as long as the Bucks win their last game or Toronto loses, Toronto is the 8th seed in the East. The Pacers would lose any two-way or three-way tie (I assume the take common record among the tied teams????) with the Raptors/Bucks, and the Bucks have the tiebreaker over the Raptors. In short, as long as Indiana loses 1 of their 2 games, Toronto is in, and if Milw beats Toronto, Toronto is the 8th seed unless both Milw loses and Toronto wins the last game.

So absolutely true, they could put many worries to rest.

Portland won't need any motivation to beat us with the tank lineup we will send on the road.

Okay guys, I understand wanting to get a good pick and all, but this is kind of disturbing.

    GO CAVS......

If the Cavs win, we automatically get the 5th spot and Toronto qualifies for the playoffs.

    GO CAVS.

Let's not get our hopes up. Cleveland has virtually no chance of beating a motivated Pacer team. Also, we are playing Denver, who really has no chance even against our scrubs. Then the Cavs play a really motivated Toronto team while we play the unmotivated Blazers. I for one am worried.

Minnesota has already clinched the 5th seed in the West. They are 2-2 with Portland, but the Wolves have a better western conference record.

Personally, I don't think it matters whether Toronto give us the 14th pick or the 15th. I believe the Rockets will use that to satisfy the Vancouver/Memphis obligation from the Francis trade.

Agree with one exception - a draft day trade wherein the #14/15 is needed/used to obtain a number 1 thru 4 pick.

Example: 5 & 14 + KT FOR #3. There are (obviously) major assumptions with the scenario (like the Rocks want/need who's available at 3 among others).

I would kinda prefer a #15 to a #14 so that Memphis' compensation is worse. They are in our division afterall. As for using to trade up... I expect to win the lottery anyway, making that moot.
