This little guy followed me home the other day. He is a great little dog and so far, no sign of his owner. No collar, he isn't fixed, but he is clean and well fed - so I think he has a home somewhere. I can't for the life of me figure out what he is a mix of - other than some kind of terrier.

Help me figure out what he is. I put the 2nd pic in so you could get an idea of his size - small.

My rule is, if he follows you home, keep him. Its a sign.

His stature kind of reminds me of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi....

I'm trying to figure out what his face reminds me of...

I would also throw in that he could be some percentage of long-haired chihuahua.

    That is all I'll guess.

sort of looks like an old chi-weenie mix, half chihuahua half dachshund. I have a puppy chiweenie, they all take different attributes depending on who was mother/father

I adopted a dog over a year ago that looks exactly the same except he is sand brown. The vet and groomer tell me he is part Russell Terrier and part mutt. He has been a great friendly dog that is always full of energy. Never been disobedient and I have never regretted getting him. Long live Scruffy!!! :D

Looks like we have the same breakfast table.

I would guess, part dachshund, part terrier.

I didn't want to start a thread so I figured I'd ask here since it's about dog breeds.

We're looking to adopt this little fella. On the website, they say it's a German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd Mix. For you guys who know a quite bit about breeds, do you agree with this conclusion? I know it has some German Shepherd but not sure about Australian Shepherd.
