:( Well, I was asking for songs without lyrics... but... ok, if you want to do some with lyrics... ok... not a problem. :D

Although it's been mentioned once, I'll second Conan the Barbarian.

Oops sorry, you said "I am looking for well-known and non-singing themes..."

Next time put "I am looking for well-known, non-singing themes."

    :p

^ damn you, conjunction junction.

    Nice one, sir. :D

I'm still crying over Enya's Braveheart. :( Leave me alone, co-workers... I locked my door for something...

I also found "Mission Impossible" theme song... the one U2 made.

I think the OP is looking for movie scores rather than soundtracks.

    Look up the following composers:

    Ennio Morricone (Eastwood spaghetti westerns)
Henry Mancini (a million soundtracks, including Pink Panther and Midnight Cowboy)
    Bernard Herrmann (Hitchcock films)
    John Barry (Bond theme)

    Great soundtrack.

I'll put in my annual "Heavy Metal" soundtrack bid, as well.
