bowling a sport or a hobby???

    I've had this conversation with a lot of people and answers are split up 50/50....what do you guys think, is bowling a sport or hobby??

    I would describe it as an activity. You can be a professional bowler, so it may not be just a hobby.

    It's both so I guess in the context of this discussion my official answer is that it is a sport.

    Golf is considered a sport (per Websters dictionary under the word sport).

    So bowling is a sport.

    It's competitive. You keep score. You have to be slightly athletic in at least some way to do it.
