    Hey guys,

    My girlfriend just bought me a PS3 and it has 80GB. Is this a good system? I haven't been in video games for a while now. I only played Quake for a while but that was on the computer.

    Any advise would be really appreciated. I'm not sure what this system really offers.

    LOL it's a good system.

    X360 pissed me off (had to send it in for repair 3 times in 3 years, my brother took that crap to UTSA) so much I went ahead and bought a PS3 when Metal Gear came out in a bundle package.

    I love my PS3. I only have:
    Metal Gear Solid
    NHL 2K9 (good game, not a hockey fan by no means but it's a fun game)
    Madden 09
    Star Wars The Force Unleashed (good game if you're a Star Wars fan, game play is ok, but the story is really good)
    MLB 09 The Show (my favorite game I own, so much better than EA's MLB 09 and possibly my favorite baseball game of all time, graphics are amazing and the game play is awesome)

    I pre-ordered NBA 2K9 and getting it Tuesday, looks promising

    One thing I'm bummed about is Gears of War II, which is only on X360

    hey if its a gift...id take an xbox 360, ps3 or a wii. She got you an awesome gift. I have a 360 but i wouldnt mind giving the ps3 a try. The only reason I got a 360 instead of the ps3 is because all my friends own the 360 and i get to play with the online

    i got the GT5 Prologue and it's freakin ubelievable !!!!!!

    then again, i play it on the home theater setup. can't wait for NBA Live 09
