If Your Candidate Does Not Win, Who Do You Want To Run In 2012?

    Romney, Bobby Jindal, maybe even Huckabee on the Republican side. Palin is underqualified, but I think she'll bring in a lot of new types of voters and raise a lot of money for GOP by the next election; she'll be a Senator or party chair by 2016. Obama, win or lose, will run for President at least two more times, HRC and Gore at least once.

    But seriously, if things get really, really bad, we will have some fairly radical candidates. There's just too much human history that suggests this is true.

    So Palin, Paul, a younger Nader-ite. It's very worrisome. I hope we can keep some moderates and centrists involved.
