if you read some of the other stuff Albert posts you can tell he's either sick in the head or just one of these:
He was very charitable. He gave out basketball after basketball to needy opposing players, fans in the third row, etc. He knew how to give.
Its his first year, and im almost sure that he has helped the community in Argentina. Some players contribute but not in public events, maybe he has some charity fund and thats how he helps.
Maybe He already done but we don't know yet. If not, I am sure he will. that's just a part of the NBA.
man...does every job have a community service commitment...thats a joke that people should, just because they hoop, do community service...if he feels it, then he should do it, if not then who cares.
Thats the best way to help. The ability to help someone for the sake of helping and from the kindness from your heart not for the image, like a lot of NBA players in this league. As far as I know, Scola has participated in the read to achieve and the sun shine kinds programs with the Rockets. I also remember him visiting the Texas children's Hospital last season during Christmas time, I remember they had one of those half time specials about it during one of the games. By his nature(humble, kind etc.), I'm sure he does a lot for the community and plus he kicks ass!
Scola may or may not being doing something, but McGrady does seem to do some self-less things during the off-season... someone should post a topic on this: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-34-71/Tracy-McGrady-in-Africa--on-Camera.html
