The full version will support trophies, remote play, local play with up to 3 players, and I believe it will be the first game to support the video recording feature, allowing players to record video to their HDD and/or upload it to Youtube. I played the demo for a few hours, and I loved it. I guess it isn't too surprising since I also really enjoyed the previous PixelJunk game. It didn't quite start off that way though. In the first 15-20 minutes, I didn't really like it all; I didn't hate it, but I wasn't going to buy it. But then the controls and the gameplay mechanics started to click, and the game became incredibly addicting. Gameplay is pretty simple, but it can be pretty challenging at points (sort of similar to PJM). The demo has 3 or 4 of the 13 gardens in the full game IIRC, and I'm guessing each garden has like 5 "stages" to it (you'll know what I mean when you play it). I've already played the demo a lot (maybe 3-4 hours?), and I've stuck mostly just to one garden (finishing the stages, although it is also just fun to play around). It will probably be one of my most played demos in the end, which is pretty crazy when you consider it is just a demo for what is likely to be a $10 (or so?) downloadable game. As you could tell in the video, the visuals are really nice and the music really fits the game well. So yeah...PS3 users, give this game a try, and make sure you play it long enough for things to "click". It may not be for everyone, but even if you hate it, it wouldn't hurt to try it out considering how much effort went into the game by the developers.
Saw you online, was thinking about messaging you about what you thought of the demo. Luckily I didn't, the answer would have been looooong.
Yeah, I think the last time someone messaged me, wanting to know about a game, I discovered the character limit for PSN messages.
Full game is available now for those of you that liked the demo. BTW, there are 10 gardens in the full game, not 13. Not sure how I got that number.
I have some very hardcore and vocal NCAA buddies on my friends list. Some are community leaders. And the Madden demo just came out. But apparently... They are ALL playing PixelJunk Eden. LOL.
