Is this a cleverly disguised "I'm richer than you so I can afford better clubs" thread?

I have a box set of Spaldings that I procured from Oshman's about 10 years ago.

However, I am very proud of a used Ping flex 2 Iron I bought used @ Edwin Watts last year, that I had extended to fit my height/body type. Its my favorite club and was hitting it 225+ @ Wedgewood this past weekend.

    Callaways.

I use and old-school putter that was my late father-in-law's. Think putt-putt...

no it's not. i'm a poor college student. i've bought everything used and i always wait for a good deal to buy anything. i browse craigslist, golfwrx, and bombsquadgolf very frequently to see if i can get a bargain. it sometimes takes me a long time to get a specific club i want just because i'll only buy it for the price i want.

I was going to post a golf thread.

I'm just getting back into golf.

We have a place here in Dallas Called Top Golf. http://www.topgolfusa.com/

"Our sports entertainment complexes offer fun games, great food, bars, lounges, exceptional corporate and meeting facilities and an environment that's appealing to everyone – friends, family, food and fun. Join us at TopGolf - The New Game in Golf . . . and a Whole Lot More!!

TopGolf is The New Game of Golf that everyone can play. It's revolutionary technology perfected over several years of testing. A silicone microchip inside every quality golf ball gives players instant feedback on their shots and every shot can score points. TopGolf is played in a non-intimidating, no pressure environment. It's very user friendly - anyone can play, from beginner to expert; all player ability levels are welcome to come out and enjoy our games."

This place is amazing and has single-handedly got me back into golf.

$100 a month for unlimited balls. Might seem expensive, but when you hit balls 20 days out of the month its not bad at all.

    I get mi-ine free-eee.

    Callaway

    FT5 9.5 N Graphite Design YS 6 R
    X Fairway 3WD stock Fuji S
    X Hybrid 2 18* Draw Graffaloy Nano S
FT irons 3-A Nippon lightweight steel uniflex
X Forged 56 SW with MD grooves (basically a cheese grater)
Odyssey #7 White Hot, cut down to 33 1/2" with a Winn Oversized
Tour I ball (new on the market as of this weeK)

I've used this set up for a year, just changing out the wedges and cutting down the putter even though I can get '08 models if I want. No need really. but I do think the 08 FT woods and hybrids are better than the X's. I'll probably change out next Spring and go with X forged irons.

By the way, our last Demo Day of the Summer will be the 23rd at Blackhorse.
    Probably in the morning hours.
