Need laptop Battery

Hey Guys I have an HP NC8230 and the battery is dead.

Is buying a OEM one from Ebay a bad idea? I don't think it is worth dropping 140 bucks on a HP one.

Any help is appreciated

A friend of mine bought a laptop battery on Ebay. AFAIK, he hasn't had any issues and he saved quite a bit of cash, if memory serves.

I bought one off ebay...works as good as my original...i have two HP batteries and both of them work equally good

Be careful with batteries off of ebay. I wouldn't buy an off-brand. Try batterymart.com too.

If it is still under warranty, ask for a new one from the original company.
