Competitive Typing Game

I just school some 3 other kids... damn they're slow!

 

Im averaging 53 wpm. I probably spend more time going back and fixing my mistakes though.

 

Holy hell, 75 WPM and I'm getting my ass kicked.

 

I averaged 92 over 5 games. that game is so nerve racking

 

This game is awesome.

 

So what qualifies one as an expert typer, good typer, average typer, bad typer, etc.? I think I averaged 97-100 wpm.

Oh, just noticed the numbers up at the corner. I'm averaging 103 wpm after 12 tries. Damn, this is addictive.

 

That's awesome. I thought i was a good typer but i only averaged 82 wpm. I can't believe there are some people out there typing 140 words per minute. How do you do it?


BTW. Googling "good typing speed" led to some hits that say that 60-80 wpm is considered excellent.

 

The best I've done so far is 111. I guess when you work at a computer most of the day, it comes naturally. I've never taken a typing class or anything like that. I think one thing that helps in a game like that is being able to type and fix mistakes without looking at your fingers.

 

Wow I suck, I can only average 55wpm. I don't know why, but I have a hard time typing with my right hand. I mostly just use my index finger on the right.

 

There's one guy who's averaging 126 wpm after 175 games. Sheesh.

 

Shoot I was hovering right around 65-75 the whole time. I thought I was a faster typer than that, but I think it's because I spell the words in my head as I am typing and some of those words I don't know how to spell.

 

They should add a chat feature so you can trash talk

 

So far I've only done 2 races, but I've gotten 65-70 wpm. Though I apparently spend a great deal of time correcting my typing dyslexia... If I could just type it right the first time, lord knows how fast I could be!!!

 

I'm too used to hitting the double space two times in word documents.

I got owned even at 84wpm

 

I was once in the 120wpm range, now I'm at half of that.

Maybe I should take up sexy type with lonely house wives again.

 

durvasa, I saw you at 117 on the leaderboard. I got 113 and when the window popped up to have me take the typing test, I failed it 3 times. The freaking squiggly-ness of it made it hard to read and I'm so used to going back to fix my mistakes. The third time I tried it, my boss came over so I had to stop. Then it told me I had no more tries

 

Haha only 62wpm but I won a race!

It all depend what I need to type. I have these special character passages. Straight words are so much easier.
