Crossing the Border for Cheaper Gas

Wow...taking that kind of risk for $$$...I dont' think so..I honestly thought it was going to be about going to Oklahoma...

 

i wonder i how mexico is able to get a better price then the US

 

They have a national oil company that uses profits from exports to subsidize domestic consumption.

 

Don't we also have like a 50 cent tax on every gallon?

 

I think they're playing up the risk angle a bit...if they're going during daylight hours I don't think there's much of a risk of anything happening. Most of the crime/violence in Juarez occurs at night, or at least it did when I lived in El Paso.

 

Agreed. I was in Juarez a month ago and at no point during my visit did I feel unsafe. Granted, it was just for a couple of hours during the day, but still.

 

Juarez ain't even that bad...go to Laredo and there's a BIG difference...

 

When you combine state and federal taxes, pretty much.

 

cheaper gas? I guess mexican food is dirt cheap over the border if THAT's the kind of gas you're looking for.
