OK, OK...So, I've never really understood this whole "Ford vs. Chevy" thing that has always been promient in Texas. Hell, I own a GMC Sonoma myself, which is a damn good truck... My dad, on the other hand...Dude has bought nothing but Fords for the past decade or so...I thought he was going to have a heart attack when my MOM bought a Malibu last year... Oh well...let the battle rage on...
Chevy,Ford they all suck anything made in america as far as an automobile SUCKS I've owned a Camaro(junk)Mustang(junk) never will I buy another american made car again! I now own a Mitsubishi3000gt Not one engine problem never been happier! Ford moaned and whined because they were not getting the advantage clearly Gordon was screwed on that race thats crap he said he tried to avoid the wreck when it was nowehere near him in cars length. Must have been a french judge somewhere!
Yep...you are not officially a "neck" until you get a "Calvin pissing on an auto logo" sticker on the back of your pickup.
You know, the only problem with the Calvin-pissing-on-the-Ford-logo sticker is that in the places you buy them, there's always a Calvin-pissing-on-the-Chevy-logo sticker hanging right next to it.
Troy....American trucks are not junk. There's a reason Ford and Chevy full size trucks are the best selling vehicles in the nation year end and year out. A camero and a mustang though.....what the hell did you expect? All that horsepower for the price of an Accord. Those cars aren't exactly marketed to people who are thinking about quality when they're making their purchase.
This Ford vs. Chvy thing has always baffled me. But I guess some have nothing better to do. Also, I have owned all sorts of cars and trucks, foreign and domestic alike. I have found that really, nowadays, the American cars have almost caught up in terms of reliability and maintenance. I currently own a foreign SUV (2000 Nissan Xterra), and a 1999 GMC Sierra 1500SLT pickup. I find I put a lot more miles on the GMC. It is bigger, more fun to drive, more horsepower, and with the Captain's leather seats it travels better. I still like the Xterra. But overall, the driving experience for me is much better in the GMC. They get about the same gas mileage too (amazingly). The Xterra has a V6, the GMC has a 5.3L V8. Both have been extremely relaible and have given me no problems to speak of, other than the Xterra had an antenna that whistled, and the threads were stripped and it came loose all the time. It also lost a rubber piece of stripping from the luggage rack on top, and that began to rattle. I have had two mustangs, both great cars (a 65 convertible and an 86 GT convertible). I had a Honda Accord, a Nissan Maxima, a Chevy Monte Carlo, and even an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible. The best car I ever owned was the 86 GT. Second best has to be the GMC I currently own. PISS ON the Ford vs. Chevy crap.......I will buy and drive whatever product I like and that fits my needs.
