    Am I the only one who's wondering where ROXRAN is?

    Personal aside... I bought two guns yesterday - tried to, at least. One was a Cobray Mach-11 with an extended barrell and a bolt-stock (post-ban; semi-auto), and the other was a standard Lugar 9mm pistol. I bought each weapon from a different dealer at an Austin gun show. Both deals were made within 15 minutes of each other though...

    I am clean on the check on the SMG, but I get a "delay" for the pistol because I have not always been clean (2 DWIs, the last about 8 years ago - but that still shouldn't reject it). The last firearm I bought took 15 minutes to clear a check - and I haven't gotten so much as a speeding ticket since then. I made both of these purchases (attempted, anyway) yesterday - within 15 minutes of each other.

    I came back today, and the M-11 purchase had cleared the check (I obviously passed), while the 9mm was still pending. The show moved on, and I will not be able to purchase the Lugar now. But they OK'd me for buying a submachinegun that I could easily convert to full-auto???

    I am quite pissed at the ATF, right now (they do the checks)... I am sure the guy who wanted to sell a legal firearm to me is also pissed...

    Any insight on how that happens, ROXRAN? Why didn't they OK me for a pistol, if they'll OK me for a "long gun"? Different classifications make different checks?

    I actually got the General Electric xm214 minigun that HayesStreet pictured. It makes sense though-not efficient but cant be stopped. :cool:
