    This topic has been beaten to death, but...

    INSIDE the city limits of Austin, I'd go with Mann's or Ruby's (not to be confused with Rudy's).

    In the region, I would recommend:

    -Opie's in Spicewood (former pit-master of Cooper's in Llano started his own gig...and it rules!)
    -Kruez in Lockhart

    Nice. Did he buy it recently? That place used to be very mediocre, then it closed for awhile, iirc, now it looks like they're in a new building. Drive through there all the time, will be heading that way on Monday, I'll have to check it out.

    Muellers is easy to get to also from that hood.
    take 620 to tollway 45 and go to taylor.
