What kind of hat should I wear to the Texas GOP convention?

    So I'm a delegate to the State Republican Convention. One of the fun things about conventions are the silly fashion statements. Because I will be going before the nominations and resolutions committees, I will be wearing a traditional business suit, but I can get by with a hat.

    1. Straw cowboy hat - Very Texan, some room for buttons and stickers, but would probably blend in.

    2. Skimmer hat - Traditional, lots of room for buttons and stickers.

    3. Tricorn hat - Probably the most appropriate for the Constitutional movement I'm trying to represent, but wouldn't work well for buttons and stickers.

    The fedora hasn't been politically significant in the US. There are plenty at conventions, but they are worn by the media, not the delegates.

    I did leave out top-hat, which has been politically significant, but I think it hearkens to the so-called glory days of the GOP, when it was the corporatist party, and the Democrats were fractured between Constitutionalists, the Jim Crowers, and the socialists.
