Interesting to me, with all the young talent and the multiple point guards they have, they were going after Calderon at the trade deadline. But, I agree with them. GM was saying you need one guy that can defend, run the PnR, and score and they have 3 guys (Jack who can score, Rodriguez run the PnR, and Blake defend) that they need to roll into one guy. Can you imagine Calderon running up and down with Roy, Lamarcus, and Oden along with either Webster or Outlaw??? That's killer. However, nobody is going to get Calderon. He is the heir apparent. T.J. is going to be looking for a new home. Might come very cheap. Houston kid too, ain't he?
I would think Houston could get Ford for expirings and picks (doubt Brooks would have to be included). He has a sizable contract for someone with health issues. Am I the only one who doesn't like Jack at all? I don't understand why his value is high.
with the way yao and tracy have been i'd guess the rockets would steer away from ford's 8 million per year contract.
