I once ate half of a HUGE thing of 7-layer dip. I was out for a week with some insane stomach problems. Never again.

This year I am thinking hot wings.

    1 lb bacon
1 lb raw chicken breast or tenders/strips
    1 jar of sliced jalapeños
1 cup of honey mustard dressing
    Salt and pepper

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degees
    2. Cut chicken into one inch pieces; cut bacon strips into halves or thirds
    3. Place a jalapeño slice on each side of chicken piece
    4. Wrap bacon strip halves/thirds around each piece until covered with bacon; sprinkle with salt and pepper
    5. Place in 13x9 cake pan and cover with foil, place pan in oven
    6. Cook for 10-15 minutes
    7. Drain pan and place back in oven
    8. After 5 minutes turn broiler on and rotate broiler with oven every couple minutes until bacon gets crispy; drain as needed
    9. Once bacon is to desired crispiness, remove from oven
    10. Serve hot with cold honey mustard dressing for dip

Hey Fatty can you post your Chuy's dip recipe? I've never tried it and this thread made me think about it. Thanks.

yours sounds pretty interesting. here's mine:

    3 ripe avocados
    1/8 tsp garlic powder
    1/8 tsp onion powder
    3 tsp cilantro leaves
    1/2 tsp cumin powder
    1/4 tsp garlic salt
jalapeño slices (however hot you want it)
    1 tsp sugar
    2 tbsp mayo

smash up avocados. add the rest of the ingredients and mix. add mayo and mix a little. chill it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

    CHILI

    Ground beef - 1 lb
    1 Bell pepper, diced
    1 Small Onion, diced
Pinto Beans - 1 can of Trappeys - about 15 oz
Sliced Jalapenos - however much you want / however spicy you want it
    Chili Powder (2 tablespoons)
    Diced Tomatoes - 1 can (14 1/2 oz)
1 packet (1 oz) Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix
(Double all ingredients for a bigger batch)

Brown the meat, Drain excess fat from meat.
Dice the bell pepper and Onion.

    Throw everything in crockpot
Cook for about 6 hours on low.

Made this last year for the super bowl and my friends couldn't get enough of it - I didn't even get a second helping.

I usually serve my chili over fritos then top with shredded cheddar cheese and Louisiana hot sauce.

Word. Combine that with some cheap beer (but lots and lots of it) and you've got the makings of a good time.

    1 package Little Smokies
    Grape Jelly
    Yellow Mustard

Mix equal parts of the jelly and mustard on top of the Smokies in a crock pot.

Sounds like a weird combination, but they are really good.

I've always made it with grape jelly and Heinz chili sauce.

Of course, you can never go wrong with a pound of Velveeta and a can of Ro-Tel.

A favorite tailgate menu is jalapeno and monterey jack stuffed, bacon-wrapped shrimp with a side of Zatarain's dirty rice and garlic cheese biscuits.

I like both Guac Dips on here...I usually just use avacados, salt & pepper, lime and sour cream, sometimes tomatoes...This sunday, I'll add a little Rotel and cumin...

    Queso:

Velvetta block (sliced into small pieces)
2 packages of cream cheese (sliced into small pieces)
Meat of choice (fajitas, sausage, hamburger) cooked and then added
    2 cans of Rotel
mix until melted and enjoy with your favorite chips...

I've actually added the queso to my spaghetti and damn it was awesome...

I think I'll try the pigs in a blanket too...

    20 oz. sour cream

1 packet of Hidden Valley Ranch Dip Mix powder

    1/4 cup cilantro leaves

    3/4 cup pickled jalapeno slices

    1 tomatillo

Take the tomatillo, jalepenos and cilantro and pulvarize in a food processor.

Make the ranch, as usual. Then mix in the other pulvarized ingredients.

Green tomato-like fruit. If you live in Texas I am sure you can find them as they are commonly used in Mexican dishes.

Thanks man, is there any particular reason why you use the ranch powder instead of just regular ranch?
