Football Free Agents???

    With the 2001 NFL regular season coming to a close this week and the playoffs and Super Bowl will soon be decided, who are the biggest free agents in the football market after this season? I can't find a list anywhere on the net so I was thinking some of you CC.netters might know. ;)

    The problem in football, unlike Basketball or Baseball, is that many of the best 'free agents' are cap casualties cut by their team for cap reasons. Because no other sport has non-guaranteed contracts, predicting the free agents landscape is much more difficult than other sports.

    Besides, big name free agents in football rarely put teams over the top.

    Look at the big name free agents that were signed last year - is there any one who made their team that much better, or who is having a superb year?

    Usually its the cheap free agents like a Priest Holmes, or a Ted Washington that are the best investments in free agency.
