I have a Phillips 30 GB Media Player. In order to transfer mp3 files from computer to the player I must sync the files on the computer with the media player. The problem is WMP Sync identifies every freaking song on my computer and begins to sync and transfer them to my player, many that I do not want. How do I get WMP to identify only those mp3 files that I want and then sync those and transfer them to my media player?

Here's what I did, create playlist for the songs you want to sync. Right click the device and select the setup sync option. Only put the playlist of songs you want to sync on the ready to sync column. Start syncing.

Now, how would I keep those songs on my player and add new ones? Or how would I delete certain songs and keep others. I know this would rarely happen due to the large amount of storage on the device but it would be good to know.

I was using a 4 GB samsung so I had to constantly switch music in and out. When you go set up sync, if you move the playlists of songs from the device out, hit sync, it should delete those songs. Using WMP to me is all about using the playlists to manipulate your device.
