For the first time during this streak, I turned the game off in the second half (though the VCR was rolling) so I could help my wife wrap Christmas gifts. I figured, well, we'll see what happens. Guess what? They freakin' won. So much for watching the games.
I'm with you, Jeff. Through the luck (bad luck?) of scheduling, I've been able to see most of the games during the streak. Well tonight I'm at work and couldn't watch the game. Of course, they win. Now I can't watch again till they lose.
for me it is thankfully the opposite. This was the first game i've heard (i live in australia) since the end of november. My first sunday arfternoon (here) off work in a while, a nice sunny day, drinking beer with my housemate, listening to the rox win (though it was a little nerveracking at times) for the first time in too long... what a great start to the festive season. Peace and happiness to all (except Jazz fans/players)
We won because I was there. I wore my special Rockets jacket, and even called upon the powers of my 93 Oilers shirt.
Heh, for most of the games, if not all the games of that streak, I was either in the chat room or checked the scores alot on the ESPN scoreboard thing. Today, I was out at a Christmas party (weekends are more convenient than a Tuesday) and I find out that we won! Well I'll be.
Did anyone notice that some dude jumped into the floor and shook hands with Ray Allen ? Security then told him to leave, but I thought that was a strange event. Also I noticed, like in the movie 'He Got Game', these young girls wanted to desperately get Ray Allen's attention. If you have seen 'He Got Game', you'd get this. I and my pals snuck down. I yelled 'Hey Jesus, Where's LALA?' Eddie Griffin = Robert Horry Clutch 3 pointers!
I confess I have been watching the rockets on nba league pass with an unauthorized directtv card that just got zapped thursday rendering it useless so I couldnot watch the game .
I may be bad luck. Check my sig. I probably won't record anymore games this season. I'll just watch them live.
