Watched it last night. I thought it was great. Just make sure you have seen 3 before watching 4 or some things wont make sense. Really good movie

Yeah, I think they did a goof job tying all of the 4 movies together.

I watched Saw ii, hoped 3 would be better but was very disappointed.
Not going to see IV unless the Becker chick has a long disturbing nudie scene.

Yeah, I wouldda picked a different guy to be the new jigsaw, but it was by far the best 4th installment to a horror series.

Why did it bother you so?

I like the Psychology of Saw. . . because it forces people
to choose the lessor of two bad situations
the blood and gore are more a detraction for me

I might need a shrink to answer that one. I would say it likely has something to do with the anger and disgust we were subjected to per the real-life Al Qaeda Daniel Pearl beheading...followed by a few others (although I never actually watched one of them happen). You know...just how anyone could do something like that to another person...as if they have a reason that supercedes morality. That level of barbarity pushes my buttons. If I were ever around that and had the power to do something about it, then I would likely achieve that level of barbarity on those who instigated it. It's pretty much how any victim's family member feels (alot of the time) in a courtroom when the murderer is on trial. Put me in a room with them. That kind of deal.

    great way to explain it.

its almost when you have your opinion. its your decision on wether to ignore it or not. but at least someone takes a little time to think about it.

Interesting, thanks. So I take it the jigsaw clown thing gives people a choice, kind of like Mel Gibson gives that one guy a chance in the original Mad Max movie. He gives the guy a saw (what else!) and leaves him handcuffed to a burning car or something like that, IIRC.
