I'm here. Beckett was absolutely filthy last night. Pedroia and Youkilis remain red-hot. When the Sox have them hitting in addition to Manny and Ortiz, they are very tough to beat. I still think this series goes 6 games with Boston winning, but damn they looked good last night.

 

The Rockies need to win game 2 if they are going to have any chance in this series at all.

Beckett is becoming pretty much as automatic as you can get. Pedroia has really overachieved for a rookie in his first postseason. If he and Youkilis keep getting on base and setting the table for the big boys, I dont even see this series getting as close as six. But, it was one game and I dont want to get too far ahead of myself.

Lets hope the Game 6 ALCS Curt Schilling shows up tonight. Or even better, the '04 bloody sock Schilling

Only Yankees are legit to beat Red Sux in a seven game series. Too bad we got beat by a bunch of bugs and more importantly, the unexpected meltdown coming from Chien-Ming Wang.

Now I have to watch Red Sux get their second WS title in 4 years! I probably will skip the rest of series.

Arent you about sick of them blaming the bugs for losing to Cleveland? You were beat by a team that wanted it more. As far as I know, Indians players had to deal with the same bugs...

I am. What Yankee fans conveniently forget to mention is that even if they won that game, they still would have had to win 2 more games. And it's not like they didn't have their chances - beat Paul Byrd at Yankee Stadium and force a Game 5. And it's not like the midges were there from the first inning on in Game 2. But you have to hand it to guys like ivanny - they always have some excuse when their Yankees fail. I enjoy reading them because they are such comedic gold!

I didn't really like them, but they actually had talent and class. Can't say much for all the impersonators since then.
