I have to agree with Hotoddie, he has good point in that we are not giving up on players (i.e. Walt Williams), however if trading him can net you a good PF or C, like Ken Johnson, whom Miami is not going to sign, then I say the Rockets make that trade.

Don't trade Walt... Whenever he plays well.... scores atleast 20 points it seems like we win. I like to consider him our X-factor

We will not trade walt. Does not make sense breaking up the team now would make francis injury more worse mindwise than it is now..

You are correct with what you're saying. But, if you're implying that when the salary owed for the year gets to $3.35 mill we can trade him, then you are mistaken. The CBA uses the player's salary for the whole year as a basis for trade value. In Walt's case, it would be $5 mill, even if he were traded in the last week of the season (which, of course, the CBA doesn't allow either).

Don't worry about it. The CBA is a pain in the neck anyway. Here's a link that'll answer most of the questions that you'll have about the CBA. If it doesn't answer all of them, then ask Crispee, he's gotten pretty knowledgeable about it.
