The Final Fantasy Retrospective

So, I played both Kingdom Hearts with my 9 yo. She likes the characters, but I know nothing about FF. Is it appropriate for a 10 yo? If so, any recommendations on which one would be better for a 10 yo or do you need to start at the beginning?

 

The FFs prior to FF7 are visually lacking, so you can probably discount those. From FF7 and on, most of the FFs have adult themes that I think aren't appropriate for a 10 yo...the only exception being PS1's FF9 which, imo, has a pretty light story. I don't know much about FF Crystal Chronicles, and I'm guessing you don't have a Gamecube anyways. With only FF9, I don't think there's much out there for a 10 yo, assuming I haven't lost touch to what kids are capable of understanding these days.
