I just picked one up at Comp USA on Research this morning for $299 plus tax. Like a sucker I paid for the warranty. I don't think I'll need it. I'm gonna return it.
I got the 2 year one time replacement warranty on the Xbox. The console itself comes only with a 3 month warranty. I'm only cancelling the warranty - I'll take my chances. Plus I can buy myself a DVD remote with the money. NBA Live 2002 on Xbox was supposed to be out today. Actually the original date was 12/6 but some stores had it listed as 11/20. Hopefully, Eddie Griffin is in the game!
Oh, ok... I thought you meant you were taking the XBox back because it was malfunctioning or sucked. I'm still thinking about getting the XBox... I'll probably end up getting one by January or so...

hahaha its not a joke. Thats what really happens. I would buy Xbox and sell it. I know this guy who sold his for $900!.. PS2 is still the best. Gamecube is peice of ****. It has only 32 bits and nintendo is so stupid for bringing it out one week after xbox.
You heard wrong! Most people have never had a crash...including myself. A small minority of people get a service screen or have one problem or another because they bought a faulty unit. I know of at least one Gamecube site claiming xbox is crashing left and right but that is pure BS and an attempt by Gamecube fanboys to discredit MS and XBox any way they can. I have conversed with many people who have never had anything but stability and fun with the XBox. DoD, I highly recommend the XBox! Surf
I would buy an XBOX, but I already have a computer. None of the games really interest me, and it seems some of the ones that do I can get on another system or on PC later on. I got a Gamecube, because there are already several different games I want to play, and more coming down the pipeline. I would get a PS2, because there are some awesome games out for it right now, but I can't afford to get another system.
I just finished playing Live 2002. I got online (56k sucks!) to get the stats on Griffin. My Xbox has not crashed. I have not had any problems. There is absolutely no load up time. There is no Windows OS. The graphics are great. If you have any problems, just take it back to the store.
Dude have you even seen Star Wars yet? That game is BAD ASS! I have Gamecube and PS2, and rite now of course PS2 is miles ahead. I cant wait till Mario Cart, Metroid and Zelda come out though. Oh and the wavebird controller for GC will come out soon too I hope.
HAS anyone heard any news about a cable/dsl modem for Playstation2? I had been hearing about it for a year and they said November 2001, but its been dead quiet since then (april) Anyone know ANYTHING about it?
