As for the Chad Ford draft grade where he said that newly wouldn't even want to come here, I think Newly thinks pretty highly about us. :D

After finally seeing him and his huge enthusiam i'm "stoked" as he is. I wish he could get on the team this year to imrove his skills more and adapt to the NBA rather then next year. Now that we finally have a coach who will develop rookies, he could have a shot at a little playing time his first year.

The guy will give his all to make it to the next level, that I have no doubt about.

I still have my doubts about if he can step up to the NBA level but it won't be because of the lack of hard work or enthusiasm. As an aussie I hope he can suprise us all and we see him in suiting up for the Rockets in the future

Hopefully the Rockets ask him to go to Europe, Yes I would love to follow his progress more closely in the NBL but for the Rockets I believe the best option for Brad would be to try and develop his game at a higher level and Europe will do that better than here in Australia. Also with him gone the Perth Wildcats will have an easier job facing Adelaide :D

No kidding, Chad definantly had some real inside information on this one. I didn't see one player in the draft as excited as Newly was, and he wasn't even close to a lotto pick.

Yeah, I think Newley is expected to play in the summer league. But, much like Eliyahu, he'll play overseas next year.

I prefer this setup. Having Badianne, Eliyahu and Newley all playing overseas gives us a nice crop of international talent to let grow into more NBA-ready talent. I don't expect anything from Badianne, but Lior and Brad could be contributors down the line.

Sure would be great if he could 'wow' us with some great b-ball skills. He seems like a good kid, and I'd love to see him make it big in the NBA.

DOH! Nevermind, looks like the Spurs bought the Toros so I guess they are no longer a Rocksts affiliate. :(
