Cable Internet Connection

I'm thinking about getting a cable connection for internet use. There are a couple of different options where I live. One of them provides the modem and the account for about $35. Here's what I have a question about, however: there is a 5GB monthly transfer limit. How likely would a person be to use that much?

I work from home, so I'm on my computer most of the time. I use the internet quite a bit as is (I like to download stuff), but I suspect I would use it for some other things with a faster connection -- listen to music, watch highlights of Rockets games, etc. I looked at one of my ISP bills and saw where I was on the net for 180 hours that particular month. Don't know if that's high or low for me, however.

I think I'm on the interenet a lot -- high usage. Would a 5GB monthly transfer be considered high, low, or medium usage?

The other option is about the same price, so it doesn't really matter -- but I do have to buy the modem.

 

Yes, your total upload and download cannot exceed 5 GB.
