http://www.hoopsavenue.com/nba/rumors.php?news_id=117#117 The Charlotte Hornets, owned by Tricon Global Restaurants, the parent company of KFC, is making a push to get the team to move to Louisville and name themselves the Kentucky Colonels. It is against league rules to have a corporate nickname, but the Colonel is not actually copyrighted by KFC, and therefore is allowed. Despite the fact that it's a legal name, it strikes me as kind of ridiculous. Trey Wingo of ESPN joked that the stadium would be called the "KFC bucket."
