The Franchise moved from Baltimore in 1903. They were called the Highlanders and became the Yankees in 1913. In September of 1921 they win their first pennant. and no! I did not have to look it up!
Pretty good. It's strange to think the Yanks were actually the Baltimore Orioles for two years. So if you're an Orioles fan, uhm, in a strange sort of way you were a Yankee fan.
