I need some help on this issue. I have a bunch of pictures/graphs I have either scaned or created that I would like to use in my posts, but I haven't figured out a good way to do this. The only web page I have right now is a Geocities page, which is useless since it doesn't allow links to pictures, and it limits the traffic to the site. Does anyone know of a free place I can put these pictures so I can have links to them on this site? Thank you in advance for any help regarding this issue. B
Thanks for the idea, and it looks like what I need, except the server is down and won't let me register as a new member... Any other places that have the same guidelines they have? Thanks! B
B, You can always just put the images on your web page and provide a link in your post.... I know it's not exactly what you want to do, but.... it works.
Yeah, I have tried that, but after about 3 or 4 views, Yahoo/Geocities locks the site for over an hour. It can't handle the traffic at all. Now perhaps if I can find another place to build a website it should be easy to post pictures. B
Really? Does everyone at Geocities have this problem? I have my Rocket page on "0catch.com" and all my other personal pages on "100mb.esmartstart.com". The cool thing about both is the short URL you get to choose, for example mine are: dreamer88.0catch.com dreamer88.50g.com Can't get much easier than that. Also, both allow you to upload using your own FTP program. I use LeechFTP version 1.3 by Jan Debis, it's super easy. Using Leech, you can queue like 80 files, go eat a sammich and viola, you're done! I was going nuts trying to find another host after deciding to get off of AOL and after NBCi.com stopped hosting for free. But, the two hosts I use now with the FTP program made life a lot easier, when it came to moving my seemingly millions of files around.... UGH!
I found a free hosting site that seems to work so far. I am now able to post pictures! Thanks for all the help, and maybe you'll see all sorts of graphs and pie charts from me once the season starts. If anyone else needs space try http://www.escalix.com/ I don't know how great they are or anything, but I'm just glad it worked for me. B
