I got a $680 electric bill for March, and it is not Reliant's mistake. My landlord's electric AC/furnace has been having problems for 1 1/2 yrs, alternatingly not producing heat vs calling the electrician to fix it and it burns too much power. 3 electricians have worked on it, but the biggest bill was $170 Feb 2006. My AC bills aren't anywhere close...highest last yr in the Summer was $90. but man, $680 in one month. Isn't that going to put me on a watch list by the DEA???!! i'm screwed!!!
Damn HP, that's crazy high.. I thought my tops of $450.00 was bad.. I'd try to make sure that the problem gets fixed before next year, or threaten to move..
I've seen people up here with 3000-4000 sq. ft. houses get $400-$600 bills in the summer regularly. I don't know what the hell these people are doing. Turn the damn lights off or something. I have a 2900+ sq. ft. house and freak out when my bill goes over $240 (It used to be $200, but thanks to rising prices... grrr... although my last bill was around $120 I think).
so, what is y'alls tops for Feb and March? Those appear like August numbers to me. sigh. Plus, this Feb/March bill was a $600 jump from the previous bill and my new one. Just due to that cold spell when the last electrician came out to "fix my heat." i'm so on the DEA list for this....for some hydroponic farm in the garage or sumpin. I never should have given up my house in an attempt to save money after my divorce. It is so sad! so much for extending my business trip in Italy, now. GO ROCKETS!
