I have a cedar tree that I'm wanting to move because it is eventually going to interfere with my pecan tree and it will look much better in a different spot.

It's about 7 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Does anyone know if it's possible to do this my own? I've tried google but I've had no success.

call Louie w/ Champion Tree Service

I believe he advertises on 610am

My father used him to move a 25' sweetgum and while it was risky he was pleased because the tree survived

Moving established trees is always risky. I'd use a pro, or at least get an estimate and their thoughts on the chances of survival.

That's a little bigger than the sharpshooter and elbow grease I had in mind. :)

I'm probably going to have to hire someone because I really want this tree to survive

I was doing some more searching and the only thing I could find was for cedar trees 50 ft and taller and it was saying that they had a 50% chance of surviving. I'm hoping that chance would increase the smaller the tree gets.
