[360/PS3]The Darkness

I might be wrong, but it seems like this game is flying under the radar a bit. Just thought I'd bring some attention to it.

This game is being made by Starbreeze, the same studio that did Chronicles of Riddick. The Darkness will be released on both the PS3 and 360 sometime this year (possibly in May).

Now the main reason I made this thread wasn't to post some basic info on the game that has been known for over a year. My main reason for posting this was to show off several new gameplay videos from the game, all of which look really nice IMO. All via gametrailers.com:

Q&A Session with Some Gameplay:

Judging from those videos, it seems like this game has great visuals (including nice animation and physics), innovative gameplay that looks really fun, an interesting story (or at least an interesting setup), and possibly a nice amount of side missions to do alongside the main mission. Don't know if that is how things will turn out (might be too difficult to balance the gameplay; AI might suck; no multiplayer shown yet; bugs/glitches), but I'm looking forward to its release (whenever that is). It was one of the first next-gen games revealed that really got me excited about the next-gen consoles (Gears being one of the other major ones).

OT, but I can't believe it took me this long to figure out that you can embed videos from Gametrailers.com. I kept searching youtube for videos from Gametrailers.

 

I don't think I really know what you're talking about. I suppose they might do fewer updates to the DS section since there usually isn't much to update it with.

It seems like they do some nice updates for the other sections. I know they put up a nice BioShock (PC/360...maybe PS3 at some point) trailer last night, which, like The Darkness, is another game that deserves some hype.
