I assume that Jordan made a "wink-wink" deal to get out of his ownership with the Wizards in order to start playing again. That is, I expect him to be officially back in the Wizard's front office after he is done playing. If the Wizards continue to play dismally in the 2002-2003 season, what would prevent them from trading Jordan to a decent team for draft picks and a young player? By trading himself to a good team, he is improving the team (Washington) he will eventually come back to.
