Satterfield is on his way to Denver to add ANOTHER PG prospect to the Nugget's roster??? Interesting, where does this put Omar Cook?

    September 25, 2001

DALLAS (AP) -- The Dallas Mavericks traded rookie guard Kenny Satterfield to the Denver Nuggets for a future second round draft pick or future considerations Tuesday.

The Mavericks selected Satterfield in the second round of the 2001 NBA Draft. The 6-2 guard was an early entry candidate after playing two seasons at Cincinnati.

As a Cincinnati Bearcat fan I can tell you that Satterfield has great potential but so did Dontonio Wingfield. Remember him? Satterfield should have stayed at least another year in school. If he had done so, he would have been a possible lottery pick. Alas, he listened to some agent and decided to go pro. I wouldn't be surprised if that agent was Francis3!:D

I don't remember Wingfield playing for the Sonics. The only Cincy Bearcat I remember playing for the Sonics was Ruben Patterson. Dontonio played for the Jailblazers. I remember reading about how great he was when he was in high school in Georgia. He started as a Freshman at Cincy and led them in scoring. Then he bolted for the NBA despite people telling him he was making a mistake. Now, nobody knows if the guy is still playing anywhere in any league.

Satterfield had like 7 to 8 opportunities last year to win games for Cincy and he only did it like once. There is no question that he has all the physical tools, but I think that another season of refinement would have really helped him especially when it comes to leadership.

I remember reading reports from LA #1 Rockets Fan that Satterfeild was lighting it up. He was driving and spot up shooting.

After being drafted 37th overall in the 1994 draft Wingfield did play for the Sonics in 94 , He was traded to Portland and played 3 season there , He was arrested on Two counts of Assault in 1999 .
His career stats show he average 1.05 points per game
