For some reason, whenever I go to burn a cd, it burns about 1/5th of the way, and then gets an error. I have no idea what this means. I've tried different songs, so that's not the problem. I bought a new car today, and I want to listen to a new cd in it, so I'd appeciate the help.
Ahhh... two things I loathe... computer problems and lame jokes from moestavern19 ... An actually helpful post arrives: Is it only with Music? Is it only with ONE BRAND of CDs? Can you shut down your FireWall and it still does it? Can you shut down your anti-virus software and it still does it? Write down your process of elimination. Eddie WAS snubbed.
First, follow please Antisonic's advice which resolve similar problem most of the time. If it still failed, please advise the followings: 1. What CD burner (software) are you using? Can you cut and paste the error message here? 2. Are you running out of hard-disk space, do you have over 700MB free disk space?
I am using Sonic RecordNow! and then I tried using the Jet Audio burner. Neither worked. Then, I tried slowing the burning speed down - that didn't work either. The error message doesn't really say anyting other than some "unable to burn" generic crap.
We need you to let us know what that error says specifically. It might say something that could help us help you. Capture it either using (ALT+PrntScrn, then pasting into Paint or PhotoShop or CTRL+C on the text, and then posting it here). C'mon, man... HELP ME... HELP YOU... help me... help you... Is this only a cd recorder or a DVD recorder? What model is it? What model PC is it? Is it an internal CD recorder or an external? c'mon now... throw us a frickin' bone, here...
