There was a free subscription to a magazine some where.

 

Duuuude! Sometime last fall I signed up for a free subscription of Spin...when I came back from Christmas break THERE was the issue, sitting there waiting for me in the mailbox. I didn't actually think I could get a whole year for free...the skeptic I am. It was pretty awesome. I don't think I ever want to pay for anything ever again.

I remember DrewP posting a link to a free 2 year subscription to Maxim and Stuff a while back. I signed up and they ended up sending me the damned magazine for like 3 years before it stopped (I never had to pay). By the end, I had stopped even looking at the pictures.

 

These razors always come. The refills are very expensive though.

Yep, I've been getting 5 different magazines for the last 3-4years for free.

Exactly. Why would I want to get something free that costs me $4/blade to use?

 

Cause when the blades dull you can just throw it away and you have just used a razor that cost you $0.

It's not costing you $4 a blade, unless you buy refills. I've never ONCE bought refills for these free razors. I just keep my regulars on hold till these go dull.

 

The free razor usually has two blades comes with it. Soak them in rubbing alcohol after each use and they will last a long time. By the time they get blunt, there will be another free razor offer

 

thats why they give them out for free. after a while they lose money on razor and make huge bucks on the blades

They don't make any money off of me. I use the free one until it is no good then buy the cheap 10/$1 bag. I only use razors to line up my hair not completely shave it and although Quatro and other similar razors do better, the cheaps ones do a good enough job to not warrant spending the extra cash.
