4 Year Old Thinks He's a Power Ranger

Durham, NC (AHN) - A four-year-old boy changed into his Power Ranger costume to defend his family from armed robbers who broke into their home in Durham, North Carolina, it was reported.

The News and Observer reported on Friday that two armed robbers entered the home of Stevie Long, 4, by approaching his mother's boyfriend outside of their apartment. The robbers then pushed the boy into the apartment together with his mother Jennifer Long, her five-year-old daughter Mary, a cousin and two others, then pushed them to the floor at gunpoint.

But Stevie sneaked out of the room while a robber was pointing a gun at his sister and mother. He emerged a few minutes later dressed in his Mighty Morphin Power Ranger costume and threatened the robbers.

The News and Observer reported Stevie said, "Get away from my family," as he swung his plastic sword and shouted "yah, yah."

At that point, the robber, and his accomplice outside the apartment, fled with credit cards, jewelry and some cash.

Stevie said, "I scared the bad guys away."

Relatives said the robber abandoned plans to take Stevie's mother to an ATM center to withdraw money when he saw Stevie.

However, Stevie's aunt, Heather Evans said a counselor has advised the family that the boy should be able to distinguish between fantasy and reality.

She said, "He truly believed he morphed."

No wonder the robbers friggin ran with only half the loot.

They were rolling on the floor laughing their frggin @sses off.
