Genuine Microsoft????

I've received that crap before. I just reloaded my weenders and it never showed up again.

 

Microsoft now requires that they verify the authenticity of your Windows install before they will allow you to download both programs and many of their updates. I guess the question is, do you have a genuine copy of Windows? I do, and therefore have never seen that page before.

I don't think Microsoft is pulling your leg, if that's what you're asking.

if you dont verify in a couple of days i think less than 5 days microsoft will lock your computer up so if have a bootleg copy i will suggest to make a back up of all your pics video documents while you still have time or just simply buy a genuine product key...

 

nope not true, i know someone that has it on there system and basically just delays the bootup, like a 10 sec delay so u can read the msg

 

I ahem...know someone who hasn't had any problems with their bootleg copy.

hell, there's another part of the microsoft sight where you can download SP2 etc. with out having to validate...silly company......i mean, so I've heard.

 

other non-microsoft websites also host sp2 updates, just google them
