I have a PS2 (thin design) and I am wanting to play NCAA 07 online. I go to setup my settings but when I get to the point where the console checks my connection it never connects but always times out. What exactly does that mean? Is it something to do with the console, ISP, cable modem? I hook my CAT-5 cable directly from my cable modem to my ethernet connection on the back of my PS2. Is that right? Do I have to buy something else to connect online? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

turn off your PS2, plug in your cable to the PS2, turn off your modem for about a minute, boot up your PS2, then turn back on your modem. When your modem is back up to full speed you should be good to go.

most likely becuase the PS2 has to pick up the IP and the modem on Bootup. If the PS2 is on or anything like that it doesn't just dynamically pick it up. That might be a reason.
