Congrats to Battier - Making USA Squad

I hope battier gets cut....so he wont be at risk for injury

 

battier never had injury problem.

congrat to him making the USA team. i hope both him and yao play well.

 

Not to rain on the parade, but he did play for Coach K and knows his system. I don't think he's getting cut and I don't think it's a huge deal if he makes the team considering that.

 

The next three I think are going to be cut:

Wade, LeBron James, Coach K. Excellent, now Team USA are destined to lose

 

Dukey.

 

Okay, but Battier and Bowen are the only guys on that team that are there for intangibles. Everyone else (besides Brad Miller, who is only there because he's a decent center) is a franchise player and offensive first option.

 

Simply put. If you don't like Shane Battier, you don't like people.

Reminds me of a Lance Berkman quote about Jeff Kent. "It's not that he's doesn't want to talk to you; he doesn't want to talk to people."

 

Marty thinks Shane should be in the starting lineup. That shows how valuable Shane is in a team with superstars like the Rockets.
