I was cursing Palmiero being out there!

 

Yea.. my bad... hopefully Willy doesn't take it personally (although he proved the "no-bat" nickname just now).

 

Why? Palmeiro is a high-contact/low-strikeout guy, a lefty, and a pretty decent fielder if you decide to leave him in.

Frankly, if guys like Lane can lose their job, guys like Palmeiro should be given an opportunity to gain more playing time.

I'd still like to have about 6 more before I'm comfortable with the pen holding the lead.
