BobFinn* taking Tim Duncan with the 3rd overall pick.

Ren taking Steve Francis with the 2nd overall pick.

Sticky Pavement taking Grant Hill in the first round (10th overall).

Sticky Pavement taking Kenyon Martin in the second round (Iverson, McGrady, Walker, Allen, etc.. were still on the board).

Pimp taking Mobley in the third round (Nowitzki, G. Robinson, Paul Pierce, etc.. were still on the board).

Mofo Destroyers taking Shawn Kemp in the 4th round (J. O'Neal, Sprewell, Mashburn, Jalen Rose, etc.. still on the board).

Fadeaway taking Stromile Swift in the 4th round (J. O'Neal, Sprewell, Mashburn, Jalen Rose, etc.. still on the board.)

How is taking Duncan at 3 dumb?

Not to scare you guys or anything, but Duncan turns it up a notch after the All-Star break every year.

I have to agree with Bobo... I can't agree with you that taking Duncan 3rd was "dumb". Looking back, is he the 3rd best player? No. But far from dumb... the guy's averaging 51 ppg.

I'm also not too sure taking Hill that high was necessarily a blunder, either. I thought he would be playing well by now but his ankle injury never healed as expected and now he's out for the season.

I'd also have to add my pick of Anfernee Hardaway at #37 to that list. I thought he'd be back far quicker than he did.

The fact I got Rasheed Wallace at #48 still amazes me.

I was happy to get Antonio Davis at #76, too. [IMG]

How about Baron Davis lasting till #137? Hell, Rik Smits was drafted before him! LOL!

Well, I think KG, Webber or Payton should have been drafted ahead of Duncan.

Granted, it wasn't that dumb of a pick, but still..

Didn't someone draft Mourning after he announced he wasn't playing all season??

    Well, other than the Mofoes,

Grant Hill debacle. I knew he was injured(not that bad though) and he had McGreedy at his same position. His numbers would not be incredible so I pushed him down to third or fourth round.

rookies just sucked this year. Just about anyone that took a gamble on them got burned.

Tsakalidis by Finn in the 7th was a gamble.

and poor Finn with Rider in 5th.

I had Ceballos in the 6th, but he had good numbers the previous year and the SF spot in Detroit appeared wide open. But he still sucked.

    Mofoes, followed by Hill.

I have to agree with you Crisco. Tskalidis has taken longer than expected to contribute, he is playing well now however.

Rider has been a flop, so far. If Kobe gets injured, his value will go up big time.

I took Grant Hill with my 1st overall pick (5th). Lucky for me I traded him for Jason Kidd. [IMG]
